Siyao Wu

Siyao Wu is a fourth-year Chemistry undergraduate at Trinity College Dublin, with particular interests in medicinal chemistry, neuropharmacology and the practical application of chemical synthesis. She completed work in Dr Nengwei Hu’s group on tau post-translational modifications and their relevance to Alzheimer’s disease and related tauopathies, helping prepare comparative research materials and a review of tau ubiquitination. 

Siyao supports Trinity’s Green Labs programme by developing an evidence database for sustainable sample storage. She also has experience delivering STEM workshops to hundreds of international students, strengthening her interest in making scientific ideas accessible through practical learning.
