Emi Sinella

Emi joined the Hu Lab in the summer of her third year of Neuroscience at Trinity College Dublin. She completed her capstone project on the ‘identification and characterization of pathophysiologically-relevant α-synuclein oligomers using NMR and AFM’ with Dr. Mok. She returned after submitting her thesis to research the behaviour of micro- and nanoplastics in a changing environment, with a particular focus on their interactions with co-pollutants. She is particularly interested in the intersection of neuroscience, translational research and drug development, and is now pursuing a Master’s in Biotherapeutics & Business in UCD.
